50,000 Of You?!

Where do I start, holy moly this is insane. 6 months ago I wrote a blog post called 4K Of You?! which at the time I had only been blogging for almost a year at that point and honestly I thought that was insane but of course 5 months later and here I am with almost 13 times more then amount of readers I had on my blog at the time.
I am currently writing this on the 10th of May 2017, in my living room with my bunny, Nibbles nibbling on his carrot. Ever since last December there has been a crazy amount of you guys on here reading my blog especially people from America, so hi! And thank you so much :D This blog post is kind of a reminiscence of what I have done/achieved (not bragging) through blogging these past 2 years.

Well where do I start, in December 2016 I upgraded my Sony digital camera to the cannon 70D which I was so excited and I still am to be honest. I know that there is now an upgraded version of the 70D called the 80D but I am so happy with the 70D and also the 80D was super expensive at the time.

Last week I went to relay for life for the first time, which is a fundraiser event for cancer research and also to raise awareness for cancer. I went with one of my friends and her mum and we walked around 7km. We slept overnight in a tent at the oval and then at 9am we went home.
Whilst I was there I finally met Ellie for the first time. We have been messaging each other over Instagram and keep in mind I have never met someone online and then after physically met them in person but I am glad it was Ellie. She is so nice and bubbly and fun you have to go check her stuff out  - Ellie's blog .

This year I started a street art series on my blog and Youtube channel called 'The Street Series' because not enough people realise how much amazing art work is in my city and they don't know exactly where to look so I help out and find the streets for you :)

I recently started working with Reward Style which is an invitation only website/marketing website which allows you to show your audience where you bought the clothes that you wore in that post by using a gadget that they provide you with. Reward style also has amazing help and gets you involved in web seminars and more. If you are a blogger or have a job using social media I would recommend giving Reward Style a go.

Although posting blog post every week is a bit of a struggle at the moment with all of my assignments, the two reasons why I do it is because one day I want to go back to this blog and just remember what my interests where at that point in time and how much I have changed and just reminisce on how far I have come (hopefully I have gone far). And the other reason is because (cheesy factor going up) of you, if I didn't get as much support from you guys then I wouldn't try to make these posts good (not they they are amazing). So thank you :)

Tatham St, Adelaide | The Street Series

Tatham street in Adelaide has multiple pieces of wall art scattered on the street walls. The street is really accessible with both ends of the street being main roads and also it being in the city area. At the end of this post there is a video to show you a better perspective of the street and it's art, enjoy :)

3 Skincare Products For Acne, Under $30

I don't do a lot to my skin each day, I (badly) don't wash it every day. But one thing I always do each day and have noticed a massive difference in my skin is use these products. All three products are really affordable and make such a difference. For reference my skin type is oily and I get most of my breakouts/millions of small pimples on my forehead and in between my eyebrows.
This brand has recently grown hugely in popularity with all The Ordinary skincare products sold out on Asos, I had to buy mine from their official website. I have tried 5 of their serums and this one for me works wonders. The Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% it is a high-strength vitamin and mineral blemish formula so it really is made specifically for blemishes. I put 4 drops of this all over my face and rub it in, I mainly only use this at night although you can use it in the mornings as well although I find as it has a bit of a sticky feeling to it I only use it at night as it does not completely sink in.
Although I use The Ordinary blemish serum most nights, the nights that I decide to not use it is when I am using the Mario Badescu drying lotion, I have written about this product before on this blog. I truly love this product any big pimple that I have anywhere on my face or even small pimple I use a que tip dunk it into the solution and dot it over my pimple. I have noticed that it does not work as well if you are using this over serums or moisturisers so for the full effect just use this on the pimple at night time before you go to bed. The drying lotion dries within 2 minutes and does not stain or imprint on your pillows although it does sometimes come off during the night depending on how you slept.
This year one thing that I have been using daily is my origins moisturiser. Although it is only a moisturiser it has done wonders for my skin as even though the conception is that people who have oily skin shouldn't put too much moisturiser on, your skin needs hydration as much as dry or combination skin. So moisturise morning and night, it will give you a natural glow.

I hope this gave you some more information on how good these products are and how they work. Let me know in the comments what your number 1 skincare product is, I'd love to know.

Time goes fast we all know that.
We also know that when we are having fun time goes fast and when we want to do something else, time is slow.
Time, what a weird concept.
When you record yourself you think you are talking slow when in actual fact your talking like you can't catch your breath, like you have somewhere important to be.
Time is unpredictable.
A meeting may say that it will finish at 1pm when in actual fact it finishes at 1:20pm. You think you have be reading for 5 minutes when you have been reading for 20.

Time is three things, Past, Present and Future.
Three things which we can either not change, not see or not be in. But we can learnt, understand and create the past, present and future.
The past, a memory.
A memory of either an hour ago or a memory of 3 year old you playing in the garden. The past we cannot change but we can learnt from. Even if you don't understand how to learnt from a memory, you know how to handle the outcome next time. What you felt, why you felt that way and what made you feel like that. All things which we can learn from.
The present, a step before the future.
To step into the future you must first understand your placement in the present. Be in the moment, look, feel, touch, smell, taste the things around you and breathe. Your mind can wonder into the past and the future, but you will still be in the present.
Future, the present's child.
The present creates the future. The future is created and formed by what you do in the present time, all of your actions create the next up and coming action, the future. The future is like an unsolvable maths equation. One foot plus one step equals? tripping or stepping? It equals the future.

The past, present and future. All concepts of time itself, it is what makes time. When the clock's handles move one centimetre to the right from the curved black shape of the number 2. No one know's if that clock will reach the three or four, the clock could stop working before it can move another centimetre. But that is the future. The present is now, you reading each and every single letter on this screen, your brain taking all of these letters and forming them into words to create a sentence. To create a story, to create information. To create the present. The past, well that was three sentences before.

Why I wrote this, I do not know. Why you read this, I also do not know. But what I do know is that we both used our time to read about time and what time is.

Baklava | Greek Easter

I can't express how much I love any filo pastry dessert so once my mum and I made this, let's just say it did not last long at all. This delicious walnut with filo pastry drizzled with honey on top tastes amazing unless you've got a nut allergy then maybe stay away from this...
What you will need:
1kg of filo dough/sheets
2 1/2 sticks of unsalted butter
4 cups of walnuts
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
2 cup of caster sugar
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
3/4 of a cup of water
1/2 a cup of honey
Start off by using a rolling pin and crushing the walnuts into pieces, or you could just blend them.
Lay out the filo pastry.
Put all the butter into a bowl and microwave it until it is liquid.
Make sure to cover up the filo sheets as they dry very quickly and then crack, try to make sure they don't crack.
Start off by dipping a brush into the melted butter and 'paint' the bottom of the tray.
Put the first layer over the butter in the tray and 'paint' the top of the filo sheet with butter. Do this until you have done 10 filo sheets.
Once you have done 10 filo sheets it is time to create the walnut mixture. Pour in a cup of sugar.
Put in a teaspoon of cinnamon and mix them together.
Once you have mixed the walnut mixture together put an even layer of it on top of the first 10 layers of filo sheets (the walnut mixture will be on top of the butter).
Repeat this using the same walnut mixture. The number of layers from the bottom of the tray to the top will be:
10 buttered filo sheets then walnut layer,
5 buttered filo sheets then walnut layer,
5 buttered filo sheets then walnut layer,
5 buttered filo sheets then walnut layer,
5 buttered filo sheets then walnut layer,
10 buttered filo sheets and butter on top.
Once you are done cut the pastry all the way down to the bottom of the tray into 1 1/2 wide strips.
Then you are going to want to cut all the way down to the bottom diagonally to create nice diamond shapes.
Place this in the oven on 150 degrees Celsius on fan bake for an hour and 15 minutes.
Whilst it is baking in the oven, grab a sauce pan and combine 1 cup of sugar, half a cup of honey, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and 3/4 of a cup of water. Put on a medium heat and stir until sugar is dissolved then put onto a low heat and leave for 4 minutes without staring. After 4 minutes take the syrup completely off the heat and let it sit aside cooling whilst the Baklava is baking.
Once it is out of the oven pour the syrup on top of the now baked pastry all over the top until there is no more syrup in the sauce pan. Once you have done that, you can eat! But I would recommend you wait and let it sit over night or at least for 4 to 6 hours at room temperature.
I hope you liked this and make this even though it takes a bit of a while it tastes amazing! Definitely worth it :) Let me know how your easter went and what you look forward to each easter in the comments below and don't forget to follow this blog by scrolling all the way to the top of this page and clicking that follow button :D

Eyeshadow Stick's | Are They Worth Buying?

I recently bought four eyeshadow sticks, I decided to buy one a different brand to make sure that I am giving a fair review for drug store eyeshadow sticks. So I got a metallic bright purple from L'oreal and a dark metallic purple, a bronze and a champagne colour from Rimmel London. I chose these colours because they all correlate together and can be paired up and worn together.
This is shade 006 Paranoid Purple. It says that it is 24H/Waterproof. As you can see from the photo it is a very deep purple with a metallic look to the stick.
This is the shade 003 Bad Girl Bronze and states that it is 25H/Waterproof. Just like the dark purple it is metallic but this one seems to have an over-matalic coating which I think is a downer for the product. Although it could have just had a metallic top coating and then not be metallic at all.
This is the shade 002 Bulletproof Beige. It is 24H/Waterproof. This does not look like it has a metallic top coat which is a very good thing, it means that there will be the same on going pigment throughout the stick.

Unlike the rimmel ones this stick does not have a shade name on the packaging although it is a very obvious and unique colour to the L'oreal collection. I was a bit disappointed at this stick as the first layer did give the impression that this was going to be a metallic purple, but once I swiped that first layer off it was no longer metallic and was just a matte purple.

I swatched each shade to show you what each colour would look like.

Light Purple
Now as you can see the purple is very pigmented for a light purple which I definitely appreciate, it also has a bit of a holographic shimmer in it although it is not noticeable on camera.

002 Bulletproof Beige
It is definitely the most metallic of the four which is a great thing. This is probably the best quality shade that I picked up.

003 Bad Girl Bronze
It certainly does have a red undertone and a slight shimmer although it is not noticeable until you look at it close up. I would recommend this being a crease colour, it is very pigmented and you only need to swipe the stick once and you have a lot of product.

006 Paranoid Purple
I was probably the most disappointed with this shade as it looks more of a black shade than of a purple shade, I would have liked for it to be a bit lighter to give a more natural eye look as I personally don't go for very dark eye looks. There is a hint of blue holographic shimmer when I moved my hand.

The smudge and wipe test
The light purple shade did not blend very well, the product kind of just moved and didn't fade nicely. Shade 002 blended a bit better and did not loose it's shimmer when blended.
The shade 003 would take a bit of a while to blend properly because it is a dark colour, but it does blend better then the light purple.
Shat 006 probably blends the best, as you can see from the picture above.
In the image above it shows how well the eyeshadows wipe off, I used micellar water which does not wipe off waterproof makeup. Although it says that 002 is water proof, just like the L'oreal one comes off very easily. Although the two darker shades which say that they are waterproof, are mostly waterproof. To get the colours off of my hand I had to use a waterproof makeup remover.

The Blend test
I used the light purple from L'oreal as a base colour and the 006 as a crease colour.
The light purple did loose a bit of pigment from the blending but it is still visible, the 006 shade did blend very well into the colour and mixed well with the lighter purple. You would need a small crease blending brush to have more control as the 006 does blend well but it also moves around quite a bit.
The image above is using the shade 002 as the base and 003 for the crease, the 003 shade did not blend very well as it mainly just moved. I am not sure if this is only because the base is shimmery but it moved a bit to much and did not blend very well at all.

Overall I think that the dark purple is the worst, then the other three colours do have their strengths and weaknesses but overall I think that eyeshadow sticks are a good alternative to eyeshadow pallet. They are quick and easy to apply if you are rushed for time. Tell me if you have Eyeshadow sticks/crayons and if you like them or not :)
