How To Make Organic DIY Lipsticks

Hi everyone, I have created a formula and a step by step process video playlist on how to make 100% homemade organic lipstick/lip balm.
To help spread the awareness of chemical usage, that are not good for you and the environment with the pollution produced. I want to spread awareness, whether that is preventing sweatshop labor conditions, environmental degradation and or chemical and plastic waste. I want to help and start off by recreating one of the most produced makeup item and make it chemical free, cruelty free and organic to spread the word about reducing the chemical factor in lipsticks by showing how ordinary people can create an environmentally friendly lipstick themselves in their own home.
I'd love for you to try making a lipstick or lip balm at home using this step by step videos on how to make them, Please let me know how it goes :)

June Favourites 2017

Hi everyone, here are six makeup and skincare items that I have been loving and using so much through out June. A couple are products that I have loved for a long time and there are also some new ones :)

This has been one of my favourites for a long time, it's formula is very creamy and has a golden glow. It blends very well and is best applied using my fingers.

Again this is one of my favourite makeup items, I would say it is my all year round foundation but to be honest it is a little dark for my skin in the winter times even though I still use it.

Ok so this is probably one of the newest items in my makeup draws and it is such a perfect nude lipstick. Not only is it matte but it also is quite moisturising, considering that it is a matte formula. I will say although it is matte it is not long lasting.
I must say when it comes to taking off my makeup I can be lazy. This is the perfect product to take off my makeup, it takes off waterproof mascara really well and makes my face feel quite moisturised after. One problem which I have found is that when taking off eye makeup it leaves a bit of a cloudy vision, but that is only if you don't use water with it. So this is a great product to take off your base makeup but not really for your eyes.
The ordinary range is amazing skincare. That's all I can really say, but this in particular is one of the most effective and amazing product that they offer. It is essentially a blemish and vitamin formula which I can really see a difference when I use this consistently. I haven't had any big and or deep pimples since I started using it and because I have used so much of it I bought another two bottles as I just finished it, I highly recommend this.
Alright so this is one of many peoples staple skincare items, this I would say isn't as affective at getting rid of pimples (mainly white heads) as the ordinary serum but I definitely see a difference in my pores and all of the blackheads in my nose.

I hope this gave you some insight as to what your next purchase should be ;) Let me know what your favourite product is at the moment

I am actually really happy with this length and apparently it makes me look a lot younger haha I can't really see it but anyway. I wanted to do a little bit of a smokey/smudged eyeliner look and this is how it turned out :)

DIY Makeup Brush Cleaning Tool | Cheap and Easy

Many makeup stores online have what is called makeup brush cleaning gloves which usually cost around $30 to $60. A great way to save money is by making DIY products yourself. So here is how you at home can make a $60 makeup brush cleaner at home for under $10.
You will need a hot glue gun and a plastic sheet I cut up a piece of a used folder, but a plastic clip board would be ideal.
All you have to do to create it is using the glue gun draw lines, zig zags and dots if you want. Note, depending on the surface that you apply the glue to, the dots of glue can come off.
I found that overlapping the glue like on the right was most effective when washing the brushes and it was also very durable.
If you want you can cut off any unwanted glue strings.
These are the brushes that I use the most and need a good clean so I tested out the cleaning tool by, you guessed it, cleaning the brushes with it.
I don't use any special soap or conditioner for my brushes, but I have found that foam soap is most effective when cleaning brushes as you can see that the soap is white and as you clean your brush the soap changes colour and is a better indicator as to when you should change the soap applied.
As you can see the soap has changed colour from the far left to the middle where the brush is. I usually use this brush for blending concealer so this is a much used brush.
This brush I use mainly for crease shades like brown and dark pink mattes. I cleaned this brush the same way I did with the concealer brush.
I cleaned the brushes and patted them with a hand towel to drain most of the access water. Overall it is very handy and definitely saves a lot of money but you would have a lot more control over the tool if you used a sturdier plastic sheet like a clip board.

I hope you liked this blog post, as I only uploaded one blog post last month I am going to be posting around 7 blog posts through out the next 3 weeks. I would just like to say thank you so much for over 10,000 page views last month. It baffles me to think that I only posted once last month yet we achieved such a high amount of page views. Getting 10,000 page views in a month has been my goal for a long time and I can't believe we achieved it, so thankyou!

50,000 Of You?!

Where do I start, holy moly this is insane. 6 months ago I wrote a blog post called 4K Of You?! which at the time I had only been blogging for almost a year at that point and honestly I thought that was insane but of course 5 months later and here I am with almost 13 times more then amount of readers I had on my blog at the time.
I am currently writing this on the 10th of May 2017, in my living room with my bunny, Nibbles nibbling on his carrot. Ever since last December there has been a crazy amount of you guys on here reading my blog especially people from America, so hi! And thank you so much :D This blog post is kind of a reminiscence of what I have done/achieved (not bragging) through blogging these past 2 years.

Well where do I start, in December 2016 I upgraded my Sony digital camera to the cannon 70D which I was so excited and I still am to be honest. I know that there is now an upgraded version of the 70D called the 80D but I am so happy with the 70D and also the 80D was super expensive at the time.

Last week I went to relay for life for the first time, which is a fundraiser event for cancer research and also to raise awareness for cancer. I went with one of my friends and her mum and we walked around 7km. We slept overnight in a tent at the oval and then at 9am we went home.
Whilst I was there I finally met Ellie for the first time. We have been messaging each other over Instagram and keep in mind I have never met someone online and then after physically met them in person but I am glad it was Ellie. She is so nice and bubbly and fun you have to go check her stuff out  - Ellie's blog .

This year I started a street art series on my blog and Youtube channel called 'The Street Series' because not enough people realise how much amazing art work is in my city and they don't know exactly where to look so I help out and find the streets for you :)

I recently started working with Reward Style which is an invitation only website/marketing website which allows you to show your audience where you bought the clothes that you wore in that post by using a gadget that they provide you with. Reward style also has amazing help and gets you involved in web seminars and more. If you are a blogger or have a job using social media I would recommend giving Reward Style a go.

Although posting blog post every week is a bit of a struggle at the moment with all of my assignments, the two reasons why I do it is because one day I want to go back to this blog and just remember what my interests where at that point in time and how much I have changed and just reminisce on how far I have come (hopefully I have gone far). And the other reason is because (cheesy factor going up) of you, if I didn't get as much support from you guys then I wouldn't try to make these posts good (not they they are amazing). So thank you :)

Tatham St, Adelaide | The Street Series

Tatham street in Adelaide has multiple pieces of wall art scattered on the street walls. The street is really accessible with both ends of the street being main roads and also it being in the city area. At the end of this post there is a video to show you a better perspective of the street and it's art, enjoy :)

3 Skincare Products For Acne, Under $30

I don't do a lot to my skin each day, I (badly) don't wash it every day. But one thing I always do each day and have noticed a massive difference in my skin is use these products. All three products are really affordable and make such a difference. For reference my skin type is oily and I get most of my breakouts/millions of small pimples on my forehead and in between my eyebrows.
This brand has recently grown hugely in popularity with all The Ordinary skincare products sold out on Asos, I had to buy mine from their official website. I have tried 5 of their serums and this one for me works wonders. The Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% it is a high-strength vitamin and mineral blemish formula so it really is made specifically for blemishes. I put 4 drops of this all over my face and rub it in, I mainly only use this at night although you can use it in the mornings as well although I find as it has a bit of a sticky feeling to it I only use it at night as it does not completely sink in.
Although I use The Ordinary blemish serum most nights, the nights that I decide to not use it is when I am using the Mario Badescu drying lotion, I have written about this product before on this blog. I truly love this product any big pimple that I have anywhere on my face or even small pimple I use a que tip dunk it into the solution and dot it over my pimple. I have noticed that it does not work as well if you are using this over serums or moisturisers so for the full effect just use this on the pimple at night time before you go to bed. The drying lotion dries within 2 minutes and does not stain or imprint on your pillows although it does sometimes come off during the night depending on how you slept.
This year one thing that I have been using daily is my origins moisturiser. Although it is only a moisturiser it has done wonders for my skin as even though the conception is that people who have oily skin shouldn't put too much moisturiser on, your skin needs hydration as much as dry or combination skin. So moisturise morning and night, it will give you a natural glow.

I hope this gave you some more information on how good these products are and how they work. Let me know in the comments what your number 1 skincare product is, I'd love to know.
